Just like scent can spark a memory, a candle’s first burn helps set the stage for how it burns afterward.

To help prevent tunneling and get the best performance from your candle:

First burn: Burn for 2–4 hours, or until the melt pool reaches the edges of the vessel.
Each burn after: Burn for 2–4 hours at a time.
Before each burn: Trim the wood wick to about 1/4 inch and remove any loose char.

When you follow these guidelines, your candle will last for a minimum of 45-50 hours.
