Its personal. This project is most important work I have done so far in my career. If you are landing on this page it's because you have received the Natrelle Cares Kit. When I got the inquiry in early 2022 about using my candles for the kits that would be gifted to thousands of woman who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, I thought to myself...this...this is it... my true purpose in life is about to get started.
Like you, I have been affected with breast cancer (twice). In 2005 at the age of twenty-seven I was diagnosed with DCIS Stage 2 breast cancer. I endured a double mastectomy, chemo and 5 years of Tamoxifen. Unfortunately thirteen years later in 2018 I was re-diagnosed with the same cancer but it has metastasized to my chest wall. Again had to have chemo, forty one rounds of radiation, lupron and aromatase inhibitor. As you can understand this was a complete blow to my life. I was re-married, had a second child and a great career in the media industry.
If you would have told me in 2018 that I would be the owner and creator of candle business, I would have never believed you. This candle company is about us never feeling alone in our journey. No matter how lonely this chapter in our life can be, there is someone else going through the same painful moment. Lighting candles was an integral part of my day to day healing and still is to remind myself that through the light we are never alone.
Wherever you are in your breast cancer journey, please know that I see you, I admire you and I believe in you. Know that you are stronger and more courageous than you think.
